(4) XAs that are jammed in self timer mode or give very long exposures usually have cracked circuits or IC defect. This is a fatal flaw, no parts available (requires circuit replacement). XA4 with this defect is also beyond repair (needs new circuit).

(3**) Every 35RD I see is jammed due to oil on the shutter blades (release button jammed down? Stained blades? Won't wind?). Sometimes no stains but oil is hidden inside. Always requires full rebuild. Up until now (10/30/11) this camera has always been a "loss leader" (I lost money on every one I did) and is why the price has risen. New price reflects the actual time it takes to fix, at least 3 full hours, and I've been doing them for years. Anyone tells you they'll "just clean the blades from the outside" will give you a camera with a shutter that will FAIL within a month. Limited parts available for this series.

(6) Medical Pen F and FT bodies CANNOT be converted to a regular focus screen type body.
Prices higher for tampering, sand, water or impact damage. In some cases, user abuse will make the unit "beyond repair". Tampering is a huge problem in this industry.

All lenses of a certain model will not necessarily exhibit the same sharpness lens to lens. IE lenses that in the mind of the end user may have resolution issues cannot be made "sharper".
