Digital photography of your artwork, delivered to you on ARCHIVAL cd or dvd (Did you know that commercially available silver cd's and dvd's can fail in as little as 2 years. And that's for -R or +R versions. -(minus) RW or + (plus) RW (rewritable) are even worse and can actually "self-erase" if left in the sun or bright light.) You won't know this until you insert the disc into your computer and find the disc has a corrupted index. These discs (silver colored) may be short lived because the recording layer is aluminum which oxidizes and can no longer be read by the laser. Archival discs are made with a gold recording layer and are said to be good for 100 years or more. Note there are some low end gold colored discs which are not archival.

You come by our studio (located in our house) and drop off your paintings. Turnaround is usually 5-10 days or less. Rush Service Available. Lisa and I have been doing this for more than 20 years. Please scroll down for price list .

Original raw files are provided (approx. 13 meg. ea.), as well as TIFF's, "processed " with Raw Shooter Essentials (approx. 24 megs ea.). Bigger files means more color information to work with, that's better for you. We can also provide jpg's or any format you'd like (as long as format is available in Photoshop CS3).

INDIVIDUAL prints available, (dye based inks.) 4x6 to 13x19", made with Canon Pixma 6600 or Pro 9000. Matting available. Posters available up to 24 x 36"

SLIDE SCANNING SERVICE: 35mm to 8x10. All scans done with either Epson Perfection 4990 or Microtek 4000T. Scanning up to 4800 dpi possible. Presented to you on Archival CD or DVD. Low res (1200 dpi) results in a 3.4 meg file. High res, done at 4000 dpi results in a 54 meg file. Large files will give you better large prints. 2 Pieces or more to be photgraphed, then first archival cd or dvd included in order. Single item : $5 extra for archival cd or dvd. Backup (duplicate) CD or DVD in the set priced below. Film scanning available up to 8x10". Final scans delivered as TIFF's or JPEGS or both.

35mm slide scan spotting: basic scanning does not include any retouching or repair. Full spotting, sharpening, restoration: usually $25-50 (1/2 to 1 hour labor), done with Photoshop CS3. You'd be surprised at how many slides have some fungus damage. Worse damage takes more time, estimated individually.

Picture Restoration: Have an old print with no negative or slide? We can scan it, "fix" it and print it or deliver it on cd or dvd.
